Trailblazing

A very important aspect of what makes a great campground, in our opinion, is the availability of nearby trails.  We enjoy taking the dogs for short hikes, and taking longer, more challenging hikes on our own, so a well-developed trail system is important to us when choosing campgrounds to visit. I love to take pictures and my husband loves exercise.  The two don’t always work together so well.  I am off getting a close-up picture of a never before seen mushroom – while he waits! 🙂

Whatever the reason you love to hike, the following are some trails we have visited.  Many are within campgrounds, while others are good day hike trips.

Bruckner Nature Center, Troy OH

Caesar Creek State Park, OH

Dudley Woods, Liberty Township OH

Indian Creek Preserve, Oxford OH

Cloudland Canyon State Park, Rising Fawn, GA

Stone Mountain Park, GA

Sycamore State Park, Trotwood OH

Twin Valley Trail, Germantown OH

Versailles State Park, Versailles IN
