This campground is a resort that is part of the Encore resort system. A majority of the sites are reserved for seasonal campers, including some permanent trailers. There are cabin rentals, and a variety of sites to facilitate all types of camping equipment. It is a gated community, so there is a security code required to enter the premises. It is twenty minutes from lake Michigan in Sheboygan, and close to Kohler-Andre State Park. It is located directly across from Plymouth Raceway, a dirt track racing venue. There is a campstore that sells ice, firewood (stored inside) and limited food items. In a pinch you can also purchase over-priced beer. There is a nice laundry room with five washers and 8 dryers ($) The campground does not have WIFI but had the best cable we have found on our travels. Close to 100 channels, many HD.
Appearance: The campground is very well-maintained. There are good quality paved roads, and well-kept grassy sites. The campground is not in a wooded setting but many of the sites did have some shade. There is a picnic table at all of the sites. Some sites had a dug out pit area for fires, while others did not. You were permitted to build a fire on any site, however, regardless if there was a pit area provided. The size of the sites were average. There are several dumpsters provided throughout the campground which is very convenient for campers. There are also two dumping stations.

Area Attractions: As mentioned before the campground is relatively close to Lake Michigan. We visited the beach at Kohler-Andre State Park for the day. You will need to pay to enter the park if you do not already have a Wisconsin Parks pass. There is a free public beach in downtown Sheboygan that seemed very nice. The campground is also walking distance from Little Elkhart Lake. You can fish the lake and there are also paddleboat and canoe rentals. (weekends only) There are many sporting areas including a basketball court, baseball diamond, several horseshoe pits, volleyball, etc.

Family/Pet Friendly:
There are a ton of activities for kids to enjoy at Plymouth Rock including themed weekends, activity center, putt-putt, very nice arcade, three heated pools, one hot tub, playgrounds, outdoor ampitheater with entertainment etc. We saw several families enjoying riding bikes and golf carts throughout the campground. If you have children, this is a great place to visit!
We were surprised that a campground this size did not have a fenced-in dog walk area. There was a nice trail leading to the lake that we used to walk our dogs.

Bathrooms/Showers:
The showers were decent. They were kept clean and had hot water, not on timers. It looked as though they used to be pay showers but they are not now. There was a separate enclosed changing area but no shelf in the shower to put your soap/shampoo. Camp workers frequently checked the bathhouses to make sure they were well stocked and kept clean. In the men’s bathrooms the urinals did not have dividers so any time someone came in you were exposed.

Apparently they are not concerned with keeping their seasonals. Every year we have a substancial increase. I’ve been there for 10 years and have and an increase of over 1,000.00. This is crazy!!!
Thank you for the information. Good to pass along!
Not the best for seasonals. High increases and never open season on time. Need better customer service they have none.
Good point. Thank you for your input!
