3190 South Old State Road
Delaware, OH 43015

Reserve: 800-988-CAMP (2267)

This is a family-owned campground that is located minutes from Alum Creek State Park, near Columbus Ohio.  The State Park also has a campground, but we opted to stay at Cross Creek due to the availability of shower houses open in the early spring.

There is a good-sized campstore and gift shop – Ohio State Buckeye fans will be delighted!  There is also a laundry facility.

There are 200 Camping sites – 8 Premium Sites, 132 full hookups, 60 water & electric, and pull-through sites that are big rig capable.

Appearance:

This as a large campground but has limited shaded sites, and one of the outer roads backs up to a residential neighborhood.  The roads were paved with gravel sites.  We found the campground to be somewhat disappointing in the amount of trees and flowers, although in early spring it may not have been in full bloom.  The space between sites was average, and may seem crowded in busy times. The pool is very large and while it was not open when we visited seemed to be well-maintained.

Pet/Family Friendly:

The campground has a small enclosed dog park that is located near the entrance to the campground. There are waste bags and containers provided.  We used the dog run a few times but our dogs preferred the walking trail that circled the park. Better still was the dog park at Alum Creek that had very large fenced in areas for dogs about 1.5 miles down the road (separate large and small breed areas), and even a dog friendly beach area!  The pups loved it!
