This campground is conveniently located near the Opryland Hotel and Opry Mills Mall. There is easy access from the highway and shuttle services available into downtown Nashville ($10 fee round trip). There is a good sized camp store with souvenirs, beer, food, camping supplies, etc. There is also a nice sitting area, TV’s, pool table, lending library, fireplace and cafe. Firewood is $5.50 per bundle. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Camping World is right next door!
Appearance:
When we stayed in April 2016 there were extensive renovations being done, so there was a lot of construction equipment, piles of dirt, and noise around the campground. The sites were fairly tight and there are not many large, mature trees. We stayed at site #S4 and had no trees at all. The campground is very well maintained, however, and it looks as though the upgrades will be very nice. The roads are paved and so are the camper pads. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. There are numerous flower beds and flowering trees/shrubs throughout the campground that add some nice color. Note: Site C-15 through C-26 are very close to the highway and will hear considerable noise.
Rating: ( One to five lanterns with five being the highest)
Family/Pet Friendly:
The pool is undergoing major renovations and looks as though it will be very large. There is a separate hot tub that also looks very large. From what we could tell, the pool will only be four feet at its deepest. There is a basketball court, lawn- sized chess and checker sets, bike/buggy rentals, horsehoes, and a game room.
There is not currently a fenced-in dog area due to the construction, but we were told that is part of the renovation plan. There was a grassy area to walk dogs with a doggy bag station and trash can provided.

Area Attractions:
Chances are, if you are staying at one of the campgrounds located on Music Valley Drive, you are in Nashville for the the area attractions. Live music is available nightly just a short drive away. We have been to the Nashville Palace both times we have been in town and always enjoy the live music. They also have very tasty sweet potato fries! Speaking of food,,,the Cock of the Walk restaurant is walking distance from the campground. Bring your appetite! Food portions are large and the fare is southern fried. The Opryland Hotel, Grand Old Opry, and Opry Mills Mall are just a short drive down the road. As mentioned, there are shuttles available to downtown Nashville. If you enjoy getting out and enjoying nature, we recommend the 30 minute drive to Radnor Lake State park. It is very scenic.

Restrooms/Showers:
The bathrooms are very nice and updated. The decor is inviting and they are kept very clean. The showers are individual rooms, which we like, and have plenty of room for dressing. The water is hot most of the time, although we did experience a drop in available hot water during peak hours.
