arrowhead cabin

Arrowhead has a cabin rental. There is a two-night minimum. The cabin is fully furnished (accommodates 4 people) with AC/heat, kitchen, bathroom, living room, 1 queen & 2 single beds. No smoking or pets permitted. The cabin runs $129/night.

There is a camp store but is limited on supplies, especially groceries.

One noticeable aspect of Arrowhead Campgrounds is how friendly the owners are. They escort you to your campsite and assist with getting your camper backed in. They know the area well and offer recommendations for stores and restaurants. They would check-in with is to make sure everything was going well during our camping weekend. You can tell they enjoy owning a campground.

Appearance

Arrowhead Campground is clean and well-maintained. The seasonal campers take care of their sites and the staff at Arrowhead do a nice job creating a manicured landscape. There is only one dumpster located at the front entrance of the campground.

Family/Pet Friendly

A number of activities and amenities are offered at Arrowhead. There is a swimming pool, basketball court, volleyball court, and play ground. Next to the office is a game room that includes air hockey, foosball, ping pong table, and board games. There is also a library available for the scholarly campers J A picnic shelter is located next to the upper pond.

We have camped at a variety of campgrounds with a pond that supposedly are “stocked”. However, Arrowhead Campground is one that genuinely can say it has a stocked pond. In fact, there is a pond located at the upper section of the campground near the entrance as well one located in the lower section of the campground. The ponds include bluegill, smallmouth, largemouth, catfish, and crappie. The pond is catch and release.

Arrowhead is pet-friendly with some restrictions on breeds of dogs. Unfortunately, there is not a fenced-in area for your pooches.

Area Attractions

Arrowhead Campground is located outside of New Paris, Ohio in a country setting. If you looking for peace and quiet, this is your campground. If you are looking for a ton of activities and nearby attractions, you may need to seek elsewhere. The town of New Paris offers a few “tourist attractions”. We enjoyed shopping at the New Paris Antique mall (http://www.newparisantiquemall.com/) located in downtown New Paris. There is also a nice farmers market located outside of town called Today’s Harvest, which sells fresh and and local produce (http://www.todaysharvestfarm.com/). The donuts and apple cider are excellent! The market also sells crafts and gift items.

Restrooms

The restrooms and showers at Arrowhead Campground are clean and well-maintained. The staff take pride in their restrooms. They are located next to the office and swimming pool, the center of the campground. A laundry room is located behind the restrooms.
