Overview
Green Acres is an RV park located outside of Savannah, Tennessee approximately 2.5 hour southwest of Nashville and 40 minutes from the Mississippi border. Savannah happens to be the catfish capital of the world! More on that later….
Most of Green Acres RV Park consists of seasonal or monthly sites. There is basically one row that is dedicated to overnight (or multiple nights) campers. Almost all sites are pull-through sites with plenty of driveway and all sites are full hookup. It is easy in and out. Green Acres is a Good Sam park, therefore if you are a member you will receive a 10% discount. They also offer discounts to senior citizens, and active and retired military. Pricing is as follows: Daily rate = $45 (plus tax), Weekly rate= $252 (plus tax), Monthly rate = $420 (plus tax and electricity).
The office is located on the main road when you pull into the park. Check-in time is 1:00 and check-out time is 11:00 a.m. The office building includes a small store with a very limited number of products. There were some RV supplies, snacks, novelty items. And for you beer lovers, they sell single cans.
One thing we really liked about this RV park is the super friendly staff. The lady at the front desk was very helpful with getting us to our site, answering questions, and give us advice about local attractions and such. The owner stopped by to check in on us and we have a nice conversation with him.
Appearance
The owners of Green Acres take pride in their campground. It is well-manicured regarding the grass, edging, and the well-pruned Bradford pear trees throughout the park. The main roads as well as the sites are all gravel. It is a relatively quiet campground except for the logging trucks (Monday-Friday). They pick up garbage at your site prior to 11:00 a.m.

Area Attractions
The main reason we chose this campground is to visit the Shiloh Battlefield (Civil War), which is located about 20-25 minutes from the campground. If you are a history and/or Civil War buff, this battlefield is a must-see. They offer an audio tour through the NPS app. Between the visitor center, book store, and the battlefield itself, I would allocate a full day to this adventure.

Located a few minutes from the Shiloh Battlefield is the Catfish Hotel restaurant, and we highly recommend. Don’t be intimidated by the crowd waiting for their table. You will be seated quicker than you might expect. Plus, it is well worth the wait.

Other nearby attractions include the Helen Keller museum located about an hour from Green Acres and the Pickwick Landing State Park is about 10 minute drive. Additionally, the small town of Savannah is less than 10 minutes from the campground.
Family/Pet Friendly
While the campground is not a resort destination, there are some nice amenities that made our stay enjoyable. Each site has cable TV with 48 Channels. The Wi-Fi was excellent during our stay with little to no interruptions. There is a playground with a playset and volleyball court for the kids as well as a pavilion with lounge chairs. The saltwater pools is relaxing and well-maintained.

There is a lending library with DVD’s and books located in the laundry room.
Bathrooms and Showers
Though the entire RV park is full hookup, there are bathrooms and showers. There are two unisex (single use) bathrooms located at the rear of the office building that are updated and well-maintained. They were very clean! There are two showers located inside the laundry room, and they were immaculate. The shower is a private room with a bench and lots of hooks for your towels and clothing. Good water pressure and hot water. The laundry room is available 24 hours a day with three washers and three dryers. Each only cost $1.50.

Overall Rating:
Explanation of Our Overall Rating
We give Green Acres an overall score of 4/5. One major con for us was the lack of a fenced-in dog area. There is definitely space to build one. In fact, there is a shaded area near the playground that would be an ideal location.
While we enjoyed the pool, there was not a ton to do within the park. We did not see any activities or theme weekends posted anywhere. We liked the quietness of the campground, but it would be nice to have other things to do to “liven” up the experience for families and such.
