Overview
Henry Horton is a Tennessee State Park located an hour south of Nashville. The
nearest towns are Chapel Hill and Columbia. The campground is divided into five
sections: RV campground, tent campground, hammock campground, primitive
campground, and backcountry sites. We stayed in the RV campground with our 28’
travel trailer at site #32. There are 52 water/electric sites in the RV campground,
including three pull-thrus. A two-lane dump station is located as you exit the
campground.
The camp store includes novelty items as well as camp and RV supplies. Firewood is $7
per bundle (kiln-dried) and burned very well.
If you choose to camp here, be extra cautious as you drive through the campground.
There are trees all along the campground road. Traversing the park is not impossible,
however, be mindful.
